Brand new in 2011!

This is a wonderful, family friendly, interactive, hands-on museum, full of Pirate memorabilia, and treasure that takes you back 300 years to the the Golden Age Of Piracy.

This is Pat Croce's private Pirate collection from his Pirate Soul Museum, located in Key West. The collection was recently moved here to the brand new St. Augustine location, right across the street from the Castillo de San Marcos.

The Museum takes you back to the days when Pirates ruled the seas, and explores how they lived, how they navigated, and what life was like for them. There are displays of real gold, silver, jewels, pearls, and the only known real treasure chest in the world!

There is an interactive play cannon that kids can "light" and it makes a loud boom sound. There is a knot display, where you can try your hand at making some of the more popular knots they used on their sailing vessels.

There is plenty for kids to do and see in this wonderful museum. There is a special kid-friendly fun map that they can use to find hidden artifacts throughout the museum.

Tour the Captain's Quarters, feel what it was like onboard a ship, and a shipwrecked island. See old tools that were used in navigation. View the original Jolly Roger Pirate flag.

The gift shop is full of really interesting pirate gifts, and books!

I hope you get the chance to come see this museum soon. This is a great way for kids to learn about the history of the Pirates. We really enjoyed it, and hope to come back!
